Gurat is a charming little town situated in the heart of the Charente on the banks of La Nizonne. 7 minutes from Villebois-Lavatte and 30 minutes from Angoulême, you will find all kinds of services in the commune even with it being in a rural area.
We invite you to come and discover our valleys full of light and colour, our fish-filled river and our architectural and cultural treasures. We offer a warm welcome and a range of services to all of our residents and visitors : active administration, necessity shops, performant sports and school equipment and lovely surroundings.
The newspaper of the commune “Le P'tit Guratois” is published twice a year.
